Correction Policy
Last Updated: May 2026
At TOIX (toix.net), we take great pride in the accuracy of our entertainment reporting. However, we are a news organization managed by humans, and occasionally, errors can occur. When they do, we are committed to being transparent, swift, and diligent in our corrections.
We view every correction as an opportunity to reinforce our dedication to the truth. We don’t hide our mistakes; we fix them openly and honestly.
Our Correction Standards
When an error is discovered in a published piece, we categorize it into one of two types:
1. Minor Errors
These include typos, grammatical mistakes, or minor stylistic issues that do not change the core factual meaning of the story. These are corrected immediately without a formal notice, as they do not affect the integrity of the information.
2. Factual/Significant Errors
If an error involves the core facts of a story—such as a release date, a casting report, a box office figure, or a misattributed quote—we follow a transparent correction process:
- Immediate Fix: The incorrect information is corrected in the original article as soon as it is verified.
- Correction Note: We add a clear, prominent “Correction” or “Update” note at the bottom (or top, if the error is severe) of the article.
- Transparency: The note will state what was incorrect, what the correct information is, and the date the correction was made.
- No Stealth Edits: We do not silently change facts after a story has been published and read. All significant factual changes will be accompanied by a correction notice.
How We Learn About Errors
Our editorial team monitors comments, social media feedback, and emails daily. However, we also rely on you—our readers—to help us maintain the highest standards. If you spot a factual error in our reporting, we encourage you to bring it to our attention.
